Solution for the RD claim closure Runtime error in DOP Finacle

• Generally in DOP Finacle for claim closures we will the below procedure as mentioned below

1. In the first we will mark the customer status as deceased in the menu CMRC and verify
2. In the next step we will close the account by using the respective menu for that account which is presented by the customer by using the closure reason code as "DTCLM" and finally submit and verify.
3. In the last step we will suspend the CIF id of the customer so that no one tries to open with the deceased CIF Id.

• But now a days while closing the RD account using the claim closure procedure we are frequently facing the error - :Runtime error occurred " in DOP Finacle.
• For our example i am trying to close one RD account using claim closure procedure as mentioned in the below screen shots

• In the above screen we have entered all the details and also selected the closure reason code as "DTCLM" one can observer from the above screen shot.
• When i click on Submit then the system will throw the said error as shown in the below screen shot

Root cause of the above Problem :-

• The above error will occur when we are trying to close the RD account using the claim procedure and selected the repayment account id as nominee SB account then the system will throw the above Runtime error.
• This is technical error in the system hence the system is showing the error.

Solution for the above Problem :- 

• In order to solve the above the temporary solution is for RD claim closure we have to transfer the amount to 0340 if it is SO/HO account and to 0339 if it BO account.
• Hence it is requested for all the users to select the transfer mode and enter the postmaster account in case of RD claim closures in DOP Finacle.
