Solution for SB closure error- "Referred A/c closure" in DOP Finacle

• Generally we use the menu HCAAC for closure of SB and PPF accounts in DOP Finacle.
• Sometimes when we try to close the SB account then the system will show the error "Referred A/c closure" in DOP Finacle.
• The error screen shot will be as shown in the below figure

• From the above screen shot it is clear that the system is showing the said error.

Root cause of the above Problem :- 

• The above error occurs while closing SB account when the said SB account is having Dependent accounts linked to that SB account.
• Dependent accounts in DOP Finacle is nothing but MIS/SCSS/TD accounts which are automatic to corresponding  SB account.
• When the dependent accounts exists for a SB account and when we try to close that SB account then the system will show the error "Referred A/c closure" in DOP Finacle.

Solution for the above Problem :- 

• Before submitting the SB account for closure, a check on the Dependent A/c section in Closure tab has to be made when we are trying to close the SB account using the menu HCAAC.
• The accounts where the SB accounts are linked are shown in the section as in the below screen shot  

• If the above listed accounts are not closed then the SB account has to be removed as interest repayment account from all such accounts
• If the above listed accounts are already closed on the same day then the Finacle application will not allow to close SB account on that same day. Hence try to close the SB account on the next working day.
